Art Zone
This is a sketch I did of the Love Gun cover art. It was done on really cheap paper and unfortunately over the years, the paper has yellowed very badly.
For some reason the thing that gave me the most trouble on this sketch was Gene's mouth and nose. I worked on those a lot until I almost rubbed a hole in the paper with the eraser.
I can't remember the type of pencil I used on this, but it turned our really light. One day when I've got some time I may put this on my lightbox and do an inked version of it...but my up-close vision isn't what it used to be so I'll probably never get the same level of detail that I did in the original pencil.
