Art Zone
This drawing is based on swords from the 1400s and would have been suited to a fighting style of thrusting more than cutting or slashing. Based on an Italian design, I modified it and left off the forefinger ring that would have protruded from the shoulder. I added some small nicks here and there to make it look like it had been used.
It seems like the blade and grip don't really line up perfectly so I'll have to work on that next time. I used a graphite HB pencil then inked it with a Micron 005 ink pen then scanned into PhotoShop 7.0 and added the drop shadow.
